A Trip Down Memory Lane

It was this time two years ago that CrossFit Merge open its doors.  That’s right, CrossFit Merge, the first CrossFit gym in the Glendale, Los Feliz, Atwater, and Silverlake area, is two years old.  Let’s look back at some of the early days.

Here was the ‘gym’ when I leased it.  Nice right?  Well, maybe it needed a little paint and some sprucing up.

Who remembers the gym when the wall was up?

And who is this OG CrossFit Merger?  He’s still training hard with us to this day.

So while the gym may have changed a lot in its two years, some things, like the post workout recovery positions have not changed:

Friday’s Workout


Push Press for beginners

2 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 2

Push Jerk for intermediates

2 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 2


4 rounds for max reps/calories of:

1 minute of max rowing for calories

1 minute of max box jumps (30″/24″ for women)

1 minute of max shoulder to overhead (135#/93# for women)

1 minute rest between rounds
