So, we are trying out a few new things at CrossFit Merge that we are confident will make your experience and time with us even more worthwhile. Let’s get right to it.
New Class Schedule
Because of the busier evening classes on Monday and Tuesday, we are adding a fourth evening class to the schedule. Evening classes on Monday and Tuesday will now begin at:
5:00pm
6:00pm
7:00pm
8:00pm
Because of the 30 minute time shift, we are also considering changing all evening class times to begin on the hour for the rest of the week.
Proposal #1 would have Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evening classes starting at 5:00pm, 6:00pm, and 7:00pm.
See below:
Proposal #2 would keep Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evening classes starting at 5:30pm, 6:30pm, and 7:30pm.
See below:
All classes, in both proposed schedules, will still be one hour long.
Whatcha think? Let us know which evening schedule you prefer. We’re open to your suggestions and comments.
New All Levels Power Hour
Because of the huge popularity of our Power Hour class, we are adding a second Power Hour right after the original one on Wednesday. The All Levels Power Hour is just that, all levels and open to anyone that wants to add a little extra strength and lifting into their exercise regimen; a whole additional hour to unleash the power!
Limiting Class Sizes
Last and not least, we are also going to be limiting the size of our classes to 14 athletes in order for you to receive the best coaching possible. We want to maintain a strong coach-to-athlete ratio and ensure you’re training in a safe and productive environment.
We have, and will continue to have multiple coaches in our busier classes, but now you are assured a set coach-to-athlete ratio so you can receive the personal coaching and experience you deserve.
I know you have many questions about the capped class policy: are there any exceptions, what if a class fills up, how do I sign in, what about holidays, etc. Exact details on the capped class policy are forthcoming, and I will answer many of your questions then.
We are looking to make this entire process as painless as possible. The new class schedule with capped classes is scheduled to begin with a trial phase on July 2. We will test it out for a bit, and then reevaluate it based on your feedback.
We understand that change can be difficult, but we are also confident these changes to the schedule and classes will provide more value to you and your fitness endeavors.
We welcome your feedback: email, blog comments, Facebook, even singing telegrams. Good or bad, let us know what you’re thinking.
Sincerely,
The CrossFit Merge Team

I like the second class schedule, when I work day shifts I can make it to a 630 class, I won’t be able to get to the gym by 6PM

#2 is best for me. I take the Metrolink and this schedule is more convenient with less wait times before and after class.

Either one is fine.

I like proposals #1 and #2, so long as I can leave the box on Mondays and Wednesdays no later than 6:30 p.m. If we must have a cap on Power Hour attendance (and Power Hour is only on Wednesday evenings), I would do what I can to attend either the 5:00 or 5:30 Power Hour (line up early, sign up early, do extra burpees *shudder*), since I can’t stay past 6:30 p.m. on any Wednesday.

Prefer that all classes are the same time…whether it’s earlier or later is of no consequence to me.
