Competitor’s view of CrossFit

Awesome training last week here at Merge.  Heavy lifiting and bodyweight movements, rowing and some running, the always unpleasant wall ball shot made an appearance, and many of you are starting to understand the language of the double-under. 

Let’s keep the momentum going this week, because CrossFit is training for life’s unknowns.  So just in case you get in a ‘Fight’ it hopefully won’t ‘go bad’ (obvious hint).

Class Schedule Announcement – Sunday’s class will now be at 11:00 am; a little more time, 60 minutes to be exact, to sleep, eat, and relax in the morning before getting fit.

Last, here is Competitor magazine’s take on the growth of CrossFit as both a professional sport and fitness program. 

The 2011 CrossFit Games featured an ocean swim.  What other events should be included in a test of overall fitness?
